by Commissioner Schultz to approve the minutes of the

Moved by Commissioner Bengry and seconded by
Commissioner Ruohomaki to receive the Administrator’s report and place on
file. MOTION CARRIED.
X. GENERAL ORDERS OF BUSINESS
VI. UNFINISHED BUSINESS
1. Superior
Health Code.
Don
Shirley, Delta County Drain Commissioner and Chair of the Superior Health Code
ad hoc committee, updated the Board on the progress of the committee. Meets
February 6th and 12th and will be requesting to go before
the Delta Menominee Health Board on February 20th.
B. NEW BUSINESS
1. Payment of Bills.
Moved by Commissioner Bengry and seconded by
Commissioner Ruohomaki to approve the bills in the amount of $633,288.09, as
presented, each Commissioner to sign authorization sheet in Administration
office. MOTION CARRIED.
2.
Resignation of Ken Jussila from DATA Board.
Moved
by Commissioner Rivard and seconded by Commissioner Ruohomaki to accept Mr.
Jussila’s resignation from the DATA Board and send a letter thanking him for
serving on the DATA Board. MOTION
CARRIED.
3. Request from Prosecutor.
Moved
by Commissioner Ruohomaki and seconded by Commissioner Bengry to put on the
agenda of the next Committee of the Whole meeting. MOTION CARRIED.
Moved by Commissioner Ruohomaki and seconded
by Commissioner Bengry to set a Committee of the Whole meeting on
4. Landfill Bond Resolutions.
Moved by Commissioner Schultz and seconded
by Commissioner Bengry to adopt the Resolution Authorizing Continuing
Disclosure Undertaking for the sale of the Delta Solid Waste Management
Authority Bonds, as presented.

XI. GENERAL PUBLIC COMMENT

XII. COMMISSIONERS CONCERNS
Commissioners Bengry: None.
Commissioner Rivard: About a year ago started process for the
Escanaba River Cleanup – there are 2 Brownfield requests that have been
submitted. Would like to keep all levels
of local government involved with the County taking the lead. The Public Works Board will form a sub-group
with the
Commissioner Ruohomaki: Request from
non-union, non-elected contracted employees to open negotiations. Commissioner Ruohomaki and Commissioner
Bengry will be on the negotiating committee.
Commissioner Schultz: None.
Commissioner Elegeert: Moved by Commissioner Schultz and seconded by
Commissioner Bengry to put CUPPAD’s Tax/Parcel mapping on the agenda of the
Committee of the Whole meeting. MOTION CARRIED.
