     A Committee of the Whole meeting of the Delta County Board of Commissioners was held this date, pursuant to the following call:

     A Committee of the Whole Meeting of the Delta County Board of Commissioners is scheduled for Monday December 15, 2008, at 9:00 a.m. in the Conference Room of the State Office Building.

ROLL CALL

PRESENT:  Commissioners Bengry, Elegeert, Rivard, Ruohomaki and              Schultz

 

ABSENT:   None.

 

ALSO PRESENT:  Administrator Erickson, Assistant Adm. Nora Viau, IT Brandon Couivillon, Director of Maintenance Steve Carlson, Sheriff Ballweg, Under Sheriff Oswald, Sgt. Theoret, Building Inspector Tim Callahan, and Equalization Director Rick Lindstrom.

 

     The meeting was called to order at 9:00 a.m. in the Conference Room of the State Office Building by County Clerk Kolich.

 

I.   Capitol Projects.

     Court software for Circuit and District

     Jail - $18 million, Administrator will look into funding

     Sheriff Dept. software

     Jury software

     Security cameras

     Service Center Boilers and roof top unit for MSU $382,000

     Parking lot repavement $60,000

     Jail roof needed in 4 years.

 

     Report at January 6, 2009 meeting.

 

 

II. Administrator’s Contract.

    Committee to evaluate the Administrator’s contract with attorney. Evaluations to be completed prior to contract expiration September 30, 2009. Forms for the evaluation will be available for the December 16 meeting. 

 

III. Building and Zoning Department Head.

     Moved by Commissioner Bengry and seconded by Commissioner Rivard to recommend appointing Tim Callahan as Interim Director of Building and Zoning.  MOTION CARRIED.

 

IV. Adjustment for IT employee.

    IT employee’s probationary period salary adjustment to be included in Administrator’s Report for December 16th Board meeting.

 

V. Non-union, non-elected employee contract explanation.

   The Administrator will draft a Memo of Understanding listing benefit package for the non-union, non-elected employees.

 

XIV. ADJOURNMENT

     Moved by Commissioner Rivard and seconded by Commissioner Bengry to adjourn at 10:55 a.m.
