meeting was called to order at
VI. NEW
BUSINESS
1. 2007-08
Budget Workshop.
Appropriations Budgets for the Airport, Parks, Health Department and
Building and Zoning were reviewed.
Moved
by Commissioner Schultz and seconded by Commissioner Ruohomaki to recommend
setting up an Ad Hoc Committee to look at reducing the Airport and Parks
budgets with Commissioners Schultz and Ruohomaki representing the Board and the
Airport and Parks Boards to appoint members to represent their Boards. MOTION CARRIED. (Bengry Opposed)
Moved
by Commissioner Bengry and seconded by Commissioner Schultz to recommend
authorizing Administrator Erickson to meet with Public Health Administrator
Barb Chenier and the Menominee County Administrator
to review at the Health Department Budgets prior to making the
appropriations. MOTION CARRIED. (Bengry
opposed).
Moved
by Commissioner Schultz and seconded by Commissioner Ruohomaki to recommend
authorizing Administrator Erickson and Building and Zoning Director Carviou to set up a “Fee for Service” for the County to
provide zoning for townships and to notify the townships of the County’s
intentions. MOTION CARRIED.
Moved
by Commissioner Schultz and seconded by Commissioner Rivard
to recommend that the new color copier for MSU Extension be included in their
budget to be taken out of the equipment line item. MOTION CARRIED. (Bengry Opposed).
