     A Committee of the Whole meeting of the Delta County Board of Commissioners was held this date, pursuant to the following call:

     A Committee of the Whole Meeting of the Delta County Board of Commissioners is scheduled for October 16, 2007, at 10:00 a.m. in Conference Room 222 of the Delta County Courthouse.

ROLL CALL

PRESENT:  Commissioners Bengry, Rivard and Ruohomaki.

EXCUSED:  Commissioners Elegeert and Schultz.

          The meeting was called to order at 10:00 a.m. in Conference Room 222 of the Delta County Courthouse by Delta County Clerk Nancy J. Kolich.

 

              

VI. NEW BUSINESS

     1.  Special Conference with AFSCME Courthouse Chapter.

         a. Temporary Employee in Prosecutor’s office.

         Moved by Commissioner Rivard and seconded by Commissioner Bengry to recommend that P.A. Parks and Administrator Erickson review the position and cost to make permanent position and bring proposal back to the Personnel Committee.   MOTION CARRIED.

 

         b. Temporary Employee in Register of Deed’s office.

         Moved by Commissioner Bengry and seconded by Commissioner Rivard to table for 30 days to receive an answer from MARD regarding the Automation Fund.  MOTION CARRIED.

 

 

 

         c. Accounting/Clerk Vacation Relief Employee.

         Moved by Commissioner Bengry and seconded by Commissioner Rivard to table and review in the future.

 

         d. Animal Shelter Part-time employee.

         No action taken.

 

         e. Grievance filed August 20th regarding Housekeeping Position.

         Moved by Commissioner Bengry and seconded by Commissioner Rivard to recommend allowing the Supervisor to hire a housekeeper in accordance with the union contract.  MOTION CARRIED.

 

 

VIII. ADJOURNMENT

 

      Moved by Commissioner Rivard and seconded by Commissioner Bengry to adjourn at 11:39 a.m.
