     A Committee of the Whole meeting of the Delta County Board of Commissioners was held this date, pursuant to the following call:

     A Committee of the Whole Meeting of the Delta County Board of Commissioners is scheduled for Thursday December 14, 2006, at 4:30 p.m. in Room 222 of the Courthouse.

ROLL CALL

PRESENT:  Commissioners Bengry, Elegeert (4:59 p.m.), Nelson (4:52 p.m.), Ruohomaki, and Schultz via                  telephone

 

ABSENT:   None.

 

ALSO PRESENT:  Judge Stephen Davis, Judge Robert Goebel, Judge Glenn Pearson, State Court Regional Court                  Administrator James Covault,  and Sheriff Ballweg

 

          The meeting was called to order at 4:35 p.m. in Room 222 of the Courthouse by Administrator Erickson.

              

VI.  UNFINISHED BUSINESS

     1  Courthouse security.

        Ordered by Judge Goebel and Judge Pearson for Sheriff to provide courthouse security on October 20, 2006.  Statute requires Sheriff to provide deputy if requested, funding rests with the control unit.  Two issues:  1) Duties-Courthouse Deputy  2) funding.

 

          1)  The Judges will meet.

          2)  The Judges will meet with the Sheriff.

          3)  The Judges and Sheriff will meet with a Committee     appointed by Chairman Elegeert -                         Commissioners Schultz and Nelson.  Recommendations will be brought to the December 19th Board                  meeting.

         

The Sheriff will go forward with replacing the Road Patrol Deputy.

 

     

VIII.  ADJOURNMENT

 

     Moved by Commissioner Bengry and supported by Commissioner Ruohomaki to adjourn at 5:22 p.m.
